Two borders of DLP Lightcrafter Evaluation model are always in off position

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC300

I have been using the DLP Lightcrafter Evaluation Model to stream HDMI signal for roughly 6 months, but now two of my borders, totaling roughly 20% of the DMD on each side,  are always stuck in the off position. Is this a sign of degradation of the DMD? I have the newest software.

Thanks,

John

  • Hi John,

Bad connection between the DLPC300 and the DMD may be causing this issue.

You may want to try carefully disassembling and assembling parts of the LightCrafter:

    1) Turn-off the LightCrafter and disconnect the Power, USB and HDMI cables

    2) Remove the 4 screws and completely disconnecting the top (System) board from the board-to-board connector on the bottom (Driver) board.

    3) Re-connect the top (System) board back to the board-to-board connector on the bottom (Driver) board.

    4) Re-attach the 4 screws.

    5) Re-connect the cables and turn-on the LightCrafter.
