The dimension of the metal fixation part of the DMD on the DLP LightCrafter

Hi,

I want to use the dlp lightcrafter without its own light engine module. I have moved apart the light engine from the driver board. now it looks like this:

Does anyone know the detailed dimensions of these fixation parts (including the standard of screws, size of the metal plate as well as the outer dimensions of the DMD sensor etc.)?

Welcome to the E2E forum for the DLP Lightcrafter (3000).

There is a mechanical drawing PDF of the base plate inside the "DLP LightCrafter ™ EVM Reference Design" zip file at the DLP® LightCrafter™ Evaluation Module page.

The 3D-CAD files for this DMD (DLP3000, Series-220 packaging) are available on the "Design files" section at the "Technical documents" Tab at the DLP3000 product page.

The height from the bottom of the metal base plate to the top of the unpopulated System board is approximately 18mm.

The screws used are M2 screws. 6mm spacers are used.

Thanks for the important information, that helps a lot.

On the other side, I may want to use the metal plate and vertical PCB plate directly, but I didn't found the design of these two parts. Do you have that?

Hi SH,

The "LightCrafter Base Plate Mechanical Drawing.pdf" is the mechanical drawing of the metal plate at the "DLP LightCrafter ™ EVM Reference Design" zip file at the DLP® LightCrafter™ Evaluation Module page. We don't have this in another file format.

The vertical PCB (DMD Board) design files are in the "DMD_Board.zip" directory at the same "DLP LightCrafter ™ EVM Reference Design" zip file at the DLP® LightCrafter™ Evaluation Module page.
