Programming DM365?

Hi,

I have the DLP LightCrafter Evaluation Module. I wanted to use it to display a long series of images whose positions are modified (shifted) on-the-fly via external input. These are relatively simple images, eg a large dot.

It seems like what i want to do is program the DM365 directly so that it can receive input via USB and load images stored on the microSD card. Is this possible? Or is there a better way to do this? I cannot find information on how to program the DM365.

Thanks

  • Hi Adam,

Yes, it should be possible using the DM365.  I assume that you already tested using a Sequence of Patterns. If not, please take a look in the LightCrafter EVM User's Guide from section 2.8.  Listed below further documentation including the DM365.

The “DLP LightCrafter DM365 DVSDK” and the “DLP LightCrafter Firmware and Software Bundle” are available at www.ti.com/.../dlplightcrafter

The “DLP LightCrafter DM365 DVSDK” contains a Linux™-based Digital Video Software Development Kit (DVSDK) for TMS320DM365, that has been modified for use with DLP® LightCrafter™ Development Module.

The “DLP LightCrafter Firmware and Software Bundle” contains a mixture of software associated with the DLP LightCrafter EVM. It includes the DM365, FPGA, MSP430, and EDID object code loaded onto the EVM, as well as the MSP430 source code.
