USB of DLPC350 does not recognize

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP4500, DLPC350

Hi,

I am using DLPC350/DLP4500 in our system.
My mistake, while writing the firmware LightCrafter4500
control software, I had to unplug the USB cable.
Then, USB has become not be recognized.
After power OFF to ON, HEARTBEAT LED of DLPC350 is blinking.
But the flash memory is probably currupted?
If this happens, is it no choice but to use the JTAG?

Best regards,

Masa

  • Hi Masa,

Looks like firmware is corrupted on your board.

First, could you put a jumper on J18, and test if the board is able to enumerate over USB, basically this will cause the DLPC350  to be in boot program mode, if the board is detected, then you can upload the firmware completely. Then remove the J18 jumper and the board should boot properly.

In case if the device is not enumerating, you need to JTAG board and flash the code, the tool is given here, http://www.ti.com/dlp-lightcrafter4500-jtag-flash.

  • Hi, Sanjeev-san

    Thank you for answer.

Since replaced with new flash memory in which the program is written, USB connection has been recognized.

By the way, please tell me the conditions to blink the LED of HEARTBEAT.

This time, flash memory has been corrupted. But LED was blinking normally.

    Best regards,

    MASA
