Hi Jaebom,

In regards to your question about the ActiveX Control API and Explorer Software, they are referring to MIcrosoft framework for defining reusable software components in a programming language-independent way. Software applications, like Exploer, can then be composed from one or more of these components in order to provide their functionality.  So Explorer is a type of Application Programming Interface that uses ActiveX controls as building blocks to drive the Explorer Software.

As far as the the TI DN 2510142 Document, I will try to find this so I can send it over to you.  In the meantime, if you have any other questions or need anything else, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

I have some confusion.  Are you using a D4000 or a D4100?   I checked the D4000 Explorer Software User's Guide and found the quote you reference.  Apparently there is a typo in the Guide.  It should read:

The DLP Discovery 4000 Explorer Software allows the user to control the DDC4000 Controller
Board hardware via USB 2.0. The software uses the Discovery 4000 ActiveX control API which is
documented separately in TI DN 2510142.

Where did you obtain the Software Guide? If you got it fromt the extranet then you should be able to access the referenced document. It will be under:

DLP® Discovery™-Software --> DLP® Discovery™ 4000 (D4000) Software --> (Accept click license) --> Discovery™ 4000 Controller Board API Programmer's Guide.

If you obtained the docuement from another source please let me know.

    I am new for the development kit. The kit I have is Discovery 4100. Should I ask the design house I got the kit from to help with the domcuments or I could find them in this site? In addition, I am trying to figure out what are the main documents I should look for? The technial ref manual 2510455, the Software Guide, or there is a complete list I could follow? Thanks for the help ahead.
