Hello,

I am in need of a new DLP Chip. The Service Manual for my Projector (Acer H5360) states, that

the above mentioned model is being used. There is an additional number mentioned(48.8ER01G001), but I am unable to find any information

on this specific device. Could someone kindly tell me, where to find more information and where to buy this device?

Unfortunately, Acer allready proved unable to help me through their customer support.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Martin Kruse

    Martin,

I'm sorry, but that DLP chip is an OEM device. It is not available except through the manufacturer of your projector. I am assuming that you have a projector with a failed DMD which you would like to repair. You say that you have already contacted Acer, but have not gotten any help. Is there no Acer service center which can repair your projector? Are you attempting to replace the chip yourself, rather than send the projector to a service center?

If you are developing a project which is based on DLP technology, you will find the DLP chipsets which we are able to supply and support at http://ti.com/mems.

If you have more questions about developing with DLP technology, please feel free to post your questions in this forum.

    Best regards,

    Pascal

    Hi Pascal,

thanks for your fast reply. I have some stuck mirrors on my DMD, but the projector is about three years old. So all Acer does is telling me to send in the projector without giving away, how much it will cost. And my past experience showed, that a new projector will probably be cheaper than the repair. So, yeah, I would rather buy a new DMD and replace it myself. Very unfortunate.

    Thanks again,

    Martin
