DMD for x-ray applications

PS: I read the "Wavelength Transmittance Considerations" (http://www.ti.com/general/docs/lit/getliterature.tsp?baseLiteratureNumber=dlpa031) already but those talk about the light spectrum. Also this document only considers current designs.

Apart from the window transmission limitations we regret to inform you that the environment within the DMD is not conducive to wavelengths shorter than 355 nm.

Thank you for your reply. Is it possible that custom designs could be made to work with xrays? We are working on sensor designs for research satellites.

Hello Simon,

This is a fundemental part of the DMD recipe that we have no plans to attempt to change at this time.

You are certainly welcome to experiment with a DMD system (such as the LightCrafter 3000 or 4500), but such operation will be well outside of any warranty.

Thank you for the quick reply. Just to be sure that I understand you correctly: You're saying that TI doesn't do custom designs of DMDs for customers? There's no option to pay TI for a customized version? Or do you know of any technical and fundamental reasons why such a device couldn't possibly be made to work - even if you were willing to change parts of the system?
