I can't seem to find any docs in the extranet that give a full schematic of the board.

What type of connector is used for the GPIOA and GPIOB ports on the DMD4100?

Welcome Lreh83 to the DLP section of the TI E2E community.

The information that you are looking for can be found in the Bill of Material (BOM).  This is under "Discovery Documentation/D4100 Documentation" in the section called "Starter Kit Design Drawings".  The link labeled "D4100 DMD BOARD BOM" is a sub item of the Circuit Card Assembly (#2510301).  It looks like one link in that table entry but is actually a separate link.

It has a list of all of the connectors used on the main board.  For the item you are asking about it is entry 50 in that table and specifies:

line    qty   refs         mfr              part #                description

         50       2    J3,J6      Molex          53261-1071      CONN, 10POS, 1.25MM, R/A, SMD

Where J3 and J6 are the GPIOA and GPIOB connectors.

    Hope this helps,

    Fizix

Ah, there it is.  Thanks for your help.  Digikey seems to have a minimum qty of 10,000 for the male connectors, and I can't find any other online retailers selling the female connector.  Any ideas?  I'm searching for: CONN 10POS 1.25MM female

Please go to the Molex website www.molex.com and search for part number 53261-1071

On Digikey search for "Molex 051021100"  This should be the female socket that mates to the connector, but please verify this on the Molex site.

If I read the page from Digikey correctly the housing does not come with connectors.  It looks like you will have to purchase the female crimp connectors separately, but there are links on the page to different gage connectors.

From what I can see you can order individual connector housings.
