Can we replace the blue led for a violet blue (405 nm) of the equivalent power? We want to experiment with photopolimerization in a small scale, and thought of using the Pico to make some experiments.
Thanks in advance for any info
I tried firing a blu-ray laser into the blue LED port & got no output at all (compared to the green one with a 532nm laser, which worked fine) - I think the combining optics are pretty narrowband. However for a monochrome application you'd probably be better off removing all the LEDs and combining optics to maximise the amount of light.
Thanks, mikeseletricstuff, replacing all the leds for a single color is a good idea. I need to verify if the internal optics work with 405 nm leds. I can not find this kind of info in the docs, so we have to experiment, right?
Here is a blog describing the pico optical engine with some information about LEDs
This may be a useful read for your experiments.
That is very helpfull! Thanks. We will study this information carefully.
