Is there DLP3435 device driver code?

Hi,

I am new in Linux kernel device driver developing. And I need to write a DLPC 3435 device driver for our embedded system, I just have the programming guide document.

I am wondering is there DLP3435 device driver code already written so that I can refer to? Or is there other similar driver source code so that I can refer to?

Hi,

We don't have the DLPC3435 driver code, but we do offer MSP430 (TI uP) source code as front end to drive HDMI and DLPC3435 by sending I2C commands, turn ON/OFF projector. These commands match what you have in SW programming guide. We will post MSP430 to ti.com in a month or so.

So I tried to search the MSP430 in Linux kernel, and found some related source files, dm355evm_msp.c, dm355evm_keys.c dm355evm_msp.h, are the files you mentioned ones?

Hi Ying,

The one you have seen is for out light crafter EVM. For how to control the DLPC343x, it's similar, they are just sending the I2C commands. The one I am talking about for MSP430 is just standalone application without needing any OS.

We use Code Composer to build this MSP430 code, not using Linux.

The code will be uploaded in a month. It's just C code without association of any OS.
