DLP4710: How to remove the lens used for LED coupling?

Part Number: DLP4710

Hi,

I am new to DLP4710, and trying to remove the lens used for LED coupling.

Is there anybody familiar with the process?

Thank you.

  • Xin,

Thanks for your interest in our DLP technology. Are you working on the DLP4710EVM-G2 platform?

Modifying the optical engine is typically not recommended. What are you attempting to do with the system?

    Thank you for your reply!
I want to add a laser channel to the DMD device for my experiments. In this case, I need to remove the red LED and lens for coupling.
So I am wondering whether can I process it without modifying the optical engine.

    Best,
    Xin

    Xin,

Thanks for your patience. I do not believe that the DLP4710 is rated for laser operation. As such you may run into problems with your system and device reliability if you make these modifications.
