Hello,

I have the TI 4710 EVM.

Is it possible to program the DLPC3439 DMD driver, so another slave can be used via SPI-bus? If yes, what software does it require?

My intention is to add another external LED-driver with an extra set of RGB-LEDs.

    Hello Joey,

    Welcome to the E2E forums and thanks for your interest in DLP products.
    The current configuration of the chipset does not support adding another LED driver via the SPI bus.
    However, can you please expand on your application and why you are looking into adding an external LED driver?

    Thank you for your answer, Sepeedah.
    Im trying to replace the LEDs by some newer, more powerful LEDs which require a different driver. My basic idea is to simulate the old LEDs with a load resistor (to run in powergood window) and control another driver with some signals of the PCB.

    Regarding adding another LED driver, note that LED_SEL lines can be used to input information to your driver.
    Please note that the use case we support for the DLPA3000 is to drive LEDs. Therefore other configurations using a load resisor are not supported by us.
