DLPDLCR4710EVM-G2: configuration ITE6801

Part Number: DLPDLCR4710EVM-G2

Hello,

In order to know about the characteristics of IT6801 HDMI receiver, I did replace  the IT6801 chip mounted on an EVM board  with new one.

What is first thing to do for the new IT6801?

After the replacement, the EVM is  on  the below status.

1. Without external HDMI input, the EVM is normally disaplaying an image(TI Logo) stored in  EVM memory.

2. With external HDMI input (connected to PC)

- the EVM dosen't display any image.

- PC recognize the EVM as a monitor(ITE6801)

If  there is no prolbem on the replaced IT6801, what shall I do to fix this problem.

Regards

  • Hello Yun-Seok,

Thank you for your interest in DLP products.

Technically if you are replacing the chip with the same exact part number and there are no assembly issues, there should not be any problem.
Can you please verify you're using the same exact part number? If the part number is different, then the code on board may need to be updated.

Alternatively you can use these steps to set up the display manually through the GUI:

    1. Go to the "Video and Color" tab on the GUI and select "Switch to External Video", if this does not work then go to next step
    2. Go to "Advanced" tab, Set up "Display Size" (found in Display option) based on your input. Also, set the Input Source Select (found in input option) to external video.

    Hope this helps.

    Best,

    Sepeedah
