DLPDLCR2000EVM: EVM doesnt fit beaglebone green

Part Number: DLPDLCR2000EVM

the title says it all, the double USB connector is too high

it is best if TI announce this incompatibility

i am referring specifically to seedstudio beaglebone green wifi (mouser #713-102010048)

  • Yair,

Welcome to the E2E forums, and thanks for your interest in our DLP products. Keep in mind that you can still interface the BeagleBone Green with the EVM by using jumpers to connect the appropriate GPIO lines as indicated in the DLPDLCR2000EVM user's guide.

We'll be sure to make the additional challenge in connecting these boards known. Thanks for pointing this out to us.

  • note, i tried to mount the EVM2000 directly on the BBGW headers and something is shorting, the EVM will not light up.

using i2c jumpers its detected . i dont see a diff between the green wirless headers and other models.

so im lost on that one. afaik, the BBGW is incompatible headers.

EDIT: i did the full jumper connection, and connecting pin 43:HOST_PRESENTZ will short/disable(?) the EVM2000.

also it could be benefical to change the post title to
EVM doesnt fit beaglebone green wireless

  • Yair,

    Thanks for your input.

HOST_PRESENTZ is intended to be connected to ground to indicate that a host processor is connected to the system. From your description, it sounds like the BBGW needs to be interfaced to the EVM via jumpers in a may typically seen with the Raspberry Pi.
