DLPC3430: Serial Flash Programming through I2C

Part Number: DLPC3430

Hi,

In the DLPC3430 the data sheet, section 8.3.3 Serial Flash Programming states that you can program the SPI flash over I2C.  Where can documentation be found detailing this I2C command as it is not obvious from the programmers guide.

Kind Regards,
Stephen Craig

  • Hello Stephen,

The Serial Flash programming over I2C appears to be a feature that is not currently available to customers in the latest software release.

Please Let us know if we can help you with anything else.

    Thanks,

When you say "the latest software release" are you speaking of the the software that speaks to the EVM card, or the actual software running the Cortex processor in the DLPC3430 itself. If you are speaking about the EVM software, then that doesn't matter, since we don't plan on using it. What we want to know is there any way to send an I2C command such that the Cortex writes to the SPI0 interface?

    Stephen,

I'll further investigate with my team and get back to you with your query in few days.

    Thanks,
