Hello Andreas,
To be able to talk to the DLPC3435 you have to write your own I2C commands. On the DLP LightCrafter 2010 we are using the Cypress chip to do that. Please check out our GUI for the 2010 EVM.

OK thank you. Would I use Code composer to communicate with the DLP lightcrafter and then just initialize my cypress.DLL to upload to the DLPC3435? Because I also downloaded DLPC2607 and it wont see the Cypress.DLL. I am unsure on how to do this so if there is some documentation available please let me know. Some Code examples would be helpful. Also the DLP Lightecrafter ver 1.0 that came with the DLP lightcrafter 2010 loads the Firmware as an .img file. do i need to save the files the same format to upload if so how do i do that.
Thank you so much for your time.
Hello Andreas,
When you open our GUI and connect the EVM via USB to your computer it will ask you to backup the image. Please backup the image and save it. To create your own image you would need our DLP Composer tool. To be abe to use our DLP Composer tool you have to sign TI's NDA and SLA.
The DLPC2607 is not using the Cypress chip to communicate to the DLPC2607 via I2C. What do you mean with it won't see the Cypress.DLL ?
If you want tor write your own I2C commands and you don't want to use our GUI, you have to write your own code to communicate with the Cypress to the DLPC3435. The following link gives you some guide line on how to setup the cypress and also provides sample codes.

Please let me know if that helps.

Hi Andreas,
Code Composer has nothing to do with DLP Lightcrafter 2010. In order to load the image to the Lightcrafter 2010 flash, you have to use the Lightcrasfter GUI tool to upload. DLPC2607 has different board design and doesn't use Cypress chip; therefore, download method is different.
Lightcrafter GUI is THE tool that can do upload and download the flash image for DLPC343x. Lightcrafter 2010 EVM is a canned system. This is not a SDK and we don't offer any code example how to download the flash image.

Andreas,
We are in the process to create new GUI tool with option to add your own splash image. It will be out in one month.

Hello TieuGia,
The MSP430 is communicating with the ITE6801 HDMI receiver via I2C which is on the same I2C bus. To stop this communication you can just use the same handshaking process as for the cypress chip (request the bus and wait for the acknowledge) or press PB_right and PB_Left at the same time.
After pressing the push buttons D9 will blink frequently.
I hope this will help.
Thanks,
Nadine
