DLP2010: running at 100fps

Part Number: DLP2010
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC3435, DLPC3430,

Hi team,

Posting for a colleague:

We would like to drive the DLP2010 with either a DLPC3430 or DLPC3435. Would it cause any problems to use an external sync clock to drive the video data at 100fps instead of 120fps?

Thanks,

Nate

  • Hello Nate,

What exactly do you mean by the external sync clock? If you are using the proper firmware there shouldn't be any reason you can't have the framerate anywhere within the acceptable range by changing the appropriate settings. For the case of the DLPC3430/5 you can generally obtain a frame rate between 10Hz and 122Hz. The full details can be seen on page 27 of the controller datasheet.

    Thanks,

    Kyle

  • Hello again Nate,

I was made aware that our default firmware only supports up to 60hz. In order to run at 120hz I will need to hear a little bit more about the application to see how we can assist. Feel free to post a followup or send me an email if you still need support.

    Thanks,
    Kyle
