DLPDLCR2000EVM: Display not working

My EVM has quit working.

I have the EVM connected to a Beagle Bone Black. I have the power supply recommended in the guide. The display was working and I could see the default splash screen. I installed Debian 9 on the BBB, but I couldn't get the demos to work.

I found that there were issues with the latest Debian, so I installed the recommended Debian 8.9 image. When I re-power everything, LED2 on the EVM illuminates, but the display does not.

I can read the cape EEPROM.

I removed the EVM from the BBB and connected power and the display still does not work.

    Have you checked the DMD data flex cable connection on your system? Sometimes the issue for this optical engine is as simple as the flex connector being a little loose. Note that there is a data cable (the thicker one) and an LED cable (the small thin one) so if the LEDs are coming on it may be an issue with your flex cable.

    Have you tried communicating with the system over I2C? That would help determine if the system is booting. I recommend you also try powering the EVM on its own (no Beagle) to see if the splash screen comes up.

    If the EVM does not display a splash screen when powered on it's own, it is very possible that your EVM is somehow damaged. I recommend in this case that you use your warranty policy to receive a new EVM.

    If I may ask, when you power the EVM which LEDs are coming up? This information would be helpful for diagnosing which part of the system is faulty.
