DLP2000: UV mode and additional Lumen

Part Number: DLP2000

Refer to DLP2000EVM, I have a questions and need support as well.

1. Could this product running the UV mode? Due to its had only on RGB in datasheet.

2. And could I adjust more lumen on this product? (because I need more on power management or something) currently is very low.

Thanks

Best Regards

  • Hello Chairat,

Thanks for your interest in our DLP products.

The DLP2000 DMD is not rated for UV-grade wavelengths. In particular, you should review in section 6.4 of the DLP2000 datasheet (www.ti.com/.../dlp2000.pdf) which shows the maximum power density for various light wavelengths. Employing the DLP2000 DMD in UV applications will reduce device lifetime.

We have a family of products that are optimized for UV-wavelengths. If you are interested in checking them out, go to our UV products overview page (www.ti.com/.../overview.html).

As for the projector lumens of the system, it is set to display at ~20 lumens by default. This can be increased to 30 lumens by increasing the RGB LED current, but we recommend adding additional cooling if you choose to do so. As a side note, I would like to mention that this specification is tied to the optical engine, not the DMD. With a different lighting setup, the DMD may be able to handle a larger lumens level

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,
    Philippe Dollo

  • My side could we use DLP3000 with UV mode? Then due to we also need this model to solve our issue with higher lumen.
    Thank you for your support
  • Chairat,

Could you elaborate on your question? Also, it appears my link to our UV-compatible portfolio did not go through so I will link it again here:
