DLP2010: Chipset: Changing Swap Configuration

Part Number: DLP2010
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC3430

How do I change the Swap configuration , as seen in Table 9 in the attached document.

Is this done using an I2C transaction?  I cannot find an appropriate transaction in the Programmer's Guide.

  • Stephen,

This configuration parameter is not available as an I2C command, and is typically requested by the customer during the design of a custom board.

I can provide a custom pin mapping option configuration for you. Please provide more information about your hardware setup and desired configuration.

    Best Regards,

  • The documents states "With internal software selection, the DLPC343x also supports a limited number of DMD interface swap configurations that can help board..."

What software is this?  If this configuration cannot be done using I2C, can it be done by writing the flash directly with SPI?

  • I forgot to add information about my hardware setup.

I'm trying to connect the lightcrafter board to a projector that has an on board flash, connected to the SPI0 bus, which is set for swap configuration 4. The projector has a flex PCB that connects to an intermediate board which connects to the Lightcrafter EVM. The intermediate board is just a bridge between the EVM and the projector and is currently designed to work in swap configuration 3. What I'm wondering is there a way to access the flash and change the swap configuration to 0x4.
  • Hi Stephen,

As it is mentioned it is an internal s/w design change, So it can be change based on the custom board design but It can not be change on the fly using i2c commands. We can provide you the new configuration to 0x4. Please Add me on e2e so that i can provide you the new firmware with these configuration.

    Thanks,
    Navneet
