DLP3010: Is there anyway to do horizontal keystone correction on production projector units

Part Number: DLP3010

We have an application in which projectors are not always positioned normal to the screen surface.  Is there anyway to do horizontal keystone correction on production projector units.  Even if the setting is a one-time setting that would be very helpful as we are able to pre-assign projectors to be either to the left or the right of the screen center.

  • Hello Michael,

Thank you for your interest in our DLP Products.

Our DLP controller only supports vertical keystone. If you would like do a horizontal keystone correction you can do that by using a front-end processor which is doing that and sent the modified image to our controller.

    Thank you,

    Nadine
  • Thank you Nadine,
We have investigated a number of companies that sell warping boxes, but they are all too expensive and have more features than needed. Do you know of anyone that sells a low cost (<$100) front-end processor box that does H/V keystone as its primary function? Alternatively do you have any recommendations for someone to do a simple front-end processor unit?
  • Hello Michael,

We normally leave it up to our customers to pick the front-end processor. We use on our reference design an HDMI receiver from ITE which wouldn't support your keystone requirements.

Have you looked into a front-end processor from Actions Micro ?

    Thanks,

    Nadine
