We are interested in exploring the development of a head up displays using DLP technology.
The TI paper DLPA073A entitled "TI DLP Pico Technology for Aftermarket Head-up Displays" describes how this is done using a "diffuser screen" :
"A diffuser screen with 20× gain is recommended for AM-HUD applications.
The diffuser screen (in this example a transmissive screen) and one fold mirror can be replaced with a
single "reflective diffuser" screen. This may help reduce the overall size of the AM-HUD product."
This paragraph outlines two choices for the diffuser.
1. A diffuser screen with 20x gain.
2. A reflective diffuser screen.
