Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC3438
Tool/software: Linux
Hello.
An error has occurred.
I currently have a 64bit linux operating system installed using the Oracle VM virtualbox on top of the Windows 10 operating system.
And the EVM specification is as follows:
Main board - DLP3010
DLP LightCrafter Display board - DLPC3438
Engine with LED connection and Flex cable
'DLP LightCrafter Display complete EVM' has been completed by referring to 'DLP® LightCrafter ™ Display 3010 EVM User's Guide'.
I also confirmed that the screen actually came out by turning on the power.
I also wanted to install the GUI tool to control the EVM by referring to the 'DLP® LightCrafter ™ Display EVM GUI Tool Users Guide (Rev. B)'.
However, there is an entry called 'Windows XP SP3 or greater' in the 'System Requirements' section on page 3 of this document.
So let me ask you a question here.
1. Is it not possible to use EVM GUI Tool on linux64bit installed in virtual environment?
If it is available, please let me know how to install it.
I tried to install it as described in the document, but the following error occurred.
The program CyDriverInstaller_x64.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
This can be caused by a problem or a defect in Wine. You may want to check out the application database.
(Note that Wine is the software that allows you to run exe files for Windows on Linux.) I think that running an application for Windows on Linux would obviously have caused an error.
2. Also, in the 3page 3 section of this document, the version of the installer provided by the installer link is v6.1. Where can I download v7.0 from the documentation?
Thank you for reading my article. Answers I'll wait.
