DLPC3433: existing of 1 bit Binary pattern control

Part Number: DLPC3433
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP3010, DLPC300, DLPC3478

Hello,

is there a 1 bit binary pattern control (monochrome display as defined in the DLPC3000)?? if yes, which is the rates please.

Thanks and regards

Bastien

  • Bastien,

The DLPC3433 is a display chipset, and as such is not optimized for sensing applications. At this time the DLPC3433 supports up to 120 Hz with 24-bit RGB input. Can you tell me more about the system you are trying to implement? I may be able to help you find the optimal chipset setup to use in this case.

    I hope this helps.

  • Thanks for your reply

Actually we are working with the DLP3000 (associated to DLPC 3000 for display controller), this controller has RGB 24 bit input (as the DLPC3433)  but propose a DMD output display frequency until 1440 hz max(1 bit monochrome external display feature )=> we control each mirror of the DMD at 1440 Hz.

    Question is

*are this feature available on the DLPC3433 or is there other display controler which can provide this feature to drive the DLP3010? if not, i would like to know how are managed the mirror regarding the RGB input of the DLPC3433??

    Thanks and regards,

    Bastien

  • Bastien,

The DLP3000 (with the DLPC300 controller) is capable of 1-bit binary patterns up to 4000 Hz. The DLP3000 is not compatible with the DLPC3433, however. Why are you trying to use the DLP3000 with the DLPC3433?

Please elaborate on your intended system design so I can assist you further. Thanks for your attention.

  • Hello,

You misunderstood my point : we are not trying to use DLP3000 with DLPC3433, we want to drive the mirror of the DLP3010 as faster that we can but it seems that the DLPC3433 propose only RGB interface and is not capable of 1 bit pattern up to 4000 Hz so the question was : is there an other DLP display controller than the DLPC3433 to manage the DLP3010 in 1 bit pattern ?? and if not i would like to know how are driving the mirror of the DLP3010 regarding the RGB input on the DLPC3433? =>physical and temporal mapping between 24 RGB input and DLP mirror

    Thanks and regards,
    Bastien
  • Bastien,

You may want to check out the DLPC3478, which is currently a product in "preview" state but may help you implement the high speed operation you are looking for with the DLP3010. You can find a link to the DLPC3478 product page below:
