DLPC3438: i2c does not work

Part Number: DLPC3438
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPA3000, DLP3010

Hi,

We have develop a board based on DLPA3000 + DLPC3438.

We cannot communicate with i2c bus of DLPC3438.

Power supplies are ok.

DLPC start correctly (HOST_IRQ goes high then goes low) as describe in the datasheet

I2C is correctly set (pull-up and speed)

Is there a special sequence to send to DLPC to start the i2c ?

Any idea to help us ?

Regards

Gilles

  • Gilles,

Welcome to the E2E forums, and thanks for your interest in our DLP technology.

A DMD device is required for the chipset to boot properly. In the case of the DLPC3438, the DLP3010 DMD is the device that is compatible with this chipset. Please ensure all three chipset components are installed, with appropriate system software loaded to flash memory, before trying to boot the system.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,
    Philippe Dollo
