Does anyone know if Code Composer Studio and the XDS100 USB emulator for the TMS320VC5505 eZDSP will work on Windows 7 (64 bit)? If not, should I expect that they would work on Windows XP Mode running under Windows 7?
I've tried both and I'm getting errors from the XDS100 USB emulator when I try to connect to the target.
On Windows XP Mode under Windows 7 I get the following:
Error connecting to the target:Error 0x80000240/-604Fatal Error during: Initialization, OCS,
On Windows 7 I get a similar error with a different error code:
Error 0x80000240/-121
Thanks,
Kurt
I found my problem (I should have known I would right after posting) -- I needed to use the USB menu in Windows XP Mode to attach to the XDS100 USB device. As soon as I did, the appropriate drivers were loaded and I was then able to attach to the target. So, Windows 7 doesn't work, but Windows XP Mode under Windows 7 does work.
Kurt,
We have a wiki that will help you with XDS100 issues. There you can see that you need to run executable in Windows XP compatibility mode:
