Since booting from USB is not a built in option of the 5505/5515 ROM code, the idea was proposed to create a 2ndary boot loader.
Any thoughts on whether this is possible?
The following questions follow as well:
Is a memory map available for the C5515/C5505 on-chip bootloader?
Is source code available for the C5515/C5505 on-chip bootloader?
Dave
Hi Dave,
See SPRABD7A - Using the TMS320C5515/14/05/04 Bootloader
The C5515/05 can boot secure images from MMC/SD and USB (to ensure that the code cannot be accessed and read outside of the system). However, it cannot boot non-secure images over USB.
See also the wiki topic for creating boot images. You will need to get the C5000 Secure boot generation tool from TI - email me directly with the details.
