    Hi all:

I am a bit confused by this "playback path" as it is stated in AIC3204 datasheet.

Does it mean "loop back whatever AIC3204 receives from its inputs to its outputs in real time?"

    Can anyone assist me?

    Thanks

      Hi Yu,

Playback path is I2S to DAC whereas record path is to ADC to I2S.

You can perform on-chip DSP, filtering, effects, mixing of signals in the "playback path" meaning after the I2S samples arrive to the AIC codec but before they leave the codec through the output driver.

      Hope this helps,
      Mark

      Hi Mark:

Thank you very much. As my native language is not English, this "playback" really confused me, they could simply use "play", that would be easier.

      Best regards

      Yu
