Migrating DSK5510 example project which are on CCS3.1 to CCS6.0

Hello,

I have windows7 system and over which i installed CCS6.0. Recently I ordered DSK5510 and i have to use its example codes on CCS6.0. But when I try to migrate these example codes compiler shows lot of error. I followed all the instructions specified over wiki by TI to migrate legacy 3.3 project but i am not getting success. Can anyone tell me best way or list of things which I should use to migrate these project?.

Hi Rajendra,

CCSv6.0 doesn't have DSP/BIOS installed by default. You may download the latest from: http://www.ti.com/tool/dspbios

Once you install the DSP/BIOS 5.42.01.09 you may recompile the project to check if the DSP/BIOS dependent errors go away. Hope you're using the "Import legacy v3.3 projects" option in CCS.

Hello Ravi,

After buliding the project I get following error.

fatal error #16019: file

large memory model, which is not compatible with small memory model specified in a previous file or on the command line

How to fix this error?

Try Project > properties > CCS Build > C5500 Compiler > Processor options > Specify memory model "small"
