Linux development for C5510 DSK

Hello,

I have a C5510 DSK from Spectrum digital, working with CCS 6 on Windows 7, and I'm wondering how I can also develop in Linux (if it's possible). I have Ubuntu Linux 12.04 64-bit and I've already installed CCS 6 with all the spectrum digital drivers. It appears the OS is also recognizing the USB device, as I can see an entry with "Spectrum Digital" when I execute the command 'lsusb'. The problem is that I can't find the eZdsp onboard USB emulator in the target connection dropdown box, which is how I connect to it in Windows. Is it simply called something different in Linux, or is it just not supported?

Thanks!
