TMS320C5515 EVM running release

Hello,

I can run both debug(CCS not 'logical' connected) and release builds(programmed in NAND). However, if I detach the XDS100v2 from the JTAG connector, the software will still run but the UART interrupts won't respond anymore.

Reconnecting the XDS100v2 and everything works again, without restarting anything.

Please advise in what I'm missing here!

Hi,

Did you try with "Free Run" option in CCS, before you disconnected the JTAG.

No, I didn't. I tried to find the option but, I cannot find it! Can you tell me where it is hiding?

Hi,

I am using CCS5.5 to run this option, you need to go to CCS Menu - > Run-> Free run.

Hope you will be able to find this.

Hi,

I already tried to do this, but this would logically only apply to "debug" sessions. I encountered it in both "debud" and "release". I think I'm obviously missing something in the acquired code or, this hardware could never run with a "released" version. I'll keep on going every day till its solved.

I will now setup a small experiment, if you could provide me with a simple sample that runs in "release" mode would be helpful, using interrupts on UART of course.
