XDS100v2 and TMC320C5515 problem

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C5515, TMS320C5505

Hello,

I have make a prototype with TMS320C5515. I bought XDS100v2 in order to program and debug.. However, i have some error connecting to the target.

i have configured target configuration of CCS to XDS100v2 and device to TMS320C5505 (as TMS320C5515 doesn't appear. I launch the configuration and when i push connect to the target it never finishes and i can never connect to the target.

I've seen that DSP_LDO is working and I can see JTAG signals so seems that DSP is wake.

Please I need some help,

Thanks,

Albert Torné

  • First of all, what is the error message? Second, what version of CCS are you using? Recommend to use CCS5.5. Third, there are pre-defined XDS100v? USB Emulator in Target Configuration.

    Hope this help.

  • Hello,

The first time i have no error but i can not connect to the target at anytime. I push connect target and lot of time pass and CCS doesn't response. Like if CCS gets hanged. And i can only stop it by disconnecting input voltage of my board.

    After i got this error:

    Error connecting to the target.

    Error 0x800000240/-151

I am using CCS v4.1 and XDS100v2 emulator. There are predefinedXDS100v2 in target configuration and i am using device TMS320C5505 as TMS320C5515 doesn't appear.

I have to clarify that it is a proper design. I made a board and i am using a purchased TMS320C5515 (it has been never programmed) and i don't know if it affects to anything. I have read something about the EEPROM but i don't know what is happening.

    Thanks,

    Albert Torné

  • Problem solved.

The clock of C5515 was not working. When I get this working, there was no problem between C5515 and XDS100v2

    Thanks for your help
