CCS v6 support for C55xx

Hi there, On C5502 wiki page IDE is listed as CCSv4 however the latest CCS version is 6. I was wondering if CCS6 can be used for C5502 or not. I am Currently using CCS3 and spectrum digital XDS510 and planning to upgrade to the newer CCS version. Any suggestion which CCS version I should choose for this purpose. Thanks, Aly

    Hi Aly,

    C5502 is supported in CCSv6, CCSv5, and CCSv4. At the time the wiki page was authored, the latest CCS was version 4.

    CCSv6 supports the XDS510, but I believe you will need a license after the 30 day free trial (extendable). I believe you can use the XDS100 without a license - the embedded emulator on C5502 eZdsp (http://www.ti.com/tool/tmdx5502ezdsp).
