Can't see external memory on SMJ320VC5416 using CCS 5.5

I have an SMJ320VC5416 and I am using CCS 5.5 (since CCS 6 doesn't support the C54XX line). I am unable to access external memory, only internal memory. I have the original C5416.gel file, which did not work, and I tried adding additional memory mapped locations. The CCS memory browser just shows these as a series of ????'s

    External memory depends on individual board setup and is defined in .cmd file. The Spectrum Digital DSK5416 support site has GEl file and its associated .cmd file. You could install it and reference the DSK's .cmd file as example. I am having PC user's privilege to install and is waiting for IT support. Hopefully you can install on your PC.

    I am using the SMJ320VC5416, not the DSK. And we are trying to use the extended program memory interface (the full 23 bits of address space). Do you have any thoughts on that?
