[C5535] Wakeup Pin

Guru 24520 points

Hi community member,

Please let me confirm the following question.

[Question]

Can customer use this pin general interrupt like GPIO interrupt?

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Best regards.

  • Hi Kaka-san,

The WAKEUP pin, is used for re-enabling the Master clock or the on-chip LDOs, Analog POR, and the Bandgap reference from its disabled condition. Though in theory it may be possible to function as GPO interrupt (output only), but still, it has not been thoroughly tested & characterized for this particular function.

So it’s not suggest to use this option.

  • Hi Vasanth,

    Thank you for your comments.
Please let me confirm my understanding for this topics.

    [My understanding]
The wake up pin can be configured as output signal to wake-up an external device from RTC interrupt in theory.
Thus, my customer cannot use this pin as general GPIO interrupt.

    Is my understanding correct?
If you have any questions, please let me know.
    Best regards.

  •  Hi Kaka-san,

Though in theory it might be used as GPO interrupt, but since its not been thoroughly verified and characterized for this particular function, its suggested not to be used as either for output interrupt generation nor as an Input which anyway wouldn't be possible.

    Hope this clarifies.
