Hello,

I am wanting to interface the MSP430 with the C5545 boosterpack. We want to send a string of characters from the MSP to the DSP, and then send another string of characters from the DSP back to the MSP.

We have been searching the example projects, yet we were unable to figure out the software configurations and code for it.

What kind of function can we use to print/send bits of data to the UART pins on the C5545 boosterpack?

Yes, you can use the UART to do this.
Please see section 2.11 of www.ti.com/.../sprui90.pdf. This details how to use the UART on the C5545BP and how to configure the headers.

There are a few UART examples provided in the CSL software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html under C:\ti\c55_lp\c55_csl_3.07\ccs_v6.x_examples\uart that will help you on your way.
