TMS320C5515: how to run the Digital Stethoscope MDK on EVM5515

hello,

I am trying to run the demo application of document called ' Digital Stethoscope Implementation on the TMS320C5515 DSP Medical Development Kit (MDK)' on EVM5515 board. The link of this document is http://www.ti.com.cn/cn/lit/an/sprab38a/sprab38a.pdf . I have 3 questions:

1,In the document, the FE board is AIC3504. I cannot find any place to buy this board. Please help.

2, this document is very old as it was using CCS3.x. Does the Stethoscope MDK have a newer application note?

1. I think it is best to ask this first question in the Audio Converters forum: e2e.ti.com/.../64

2. No, I am afraid there isn't a newer version of this document, however you should be able to compile the sources with the latest versions of CCS.

Hello Yordan,

Thanks for your prompt reply. I tried to compile it with CCS4.x. But errors shows up. Do you mean it is compatible with latest version of CCS?

Besides, for better understanding the code, could I get:
1, Register Manual of C5515?
2, CSL API Manual as it is not the version of the one I found in website (www.ti.com/.../sprc133)
3, source code of system_drv.lib, sar_drv.lib, i2s_drv.lib and dma_drv.lib?

Please find the CSL API documentation once you have installed the CSL at C:\ti\c55_lp\c55_csl_3.07\doc
The technical documentation for the C5515 is located at www.ti.com/.../technicaldocuments there is the device datasheet that shows the register info www.ti.com/.../tms320c5515.pdf

I am trying to run the stethoscope example case on AIC3204+5515. That means no need FE board in the application note.

I modified below:

1, initialize 3204 thru function AIC3204_init(); Configure it as (<-> Microphone --> to HP)

2, change from I2S0 to I2S2 in CSL_I2S_Configure and CSL_DMA_RequestChan function;

3, change the DMA address to I2S2 address. DmaConfigRcvL.srcAddr = 0x2A28; DmaConfigRcvR.srcAddr = 0x2A2C; DmaConfigXmitL.destAddr = 0x2A08; DmaConfigXmitR.destAddr = 0x2A0C;

For this, I should hear the sound from Headphone out pin of EVM5515 board. But it failed.

pls help.
