TMS320C5535: AIC3204 demo code (signal generation ) ?

Hi,

I'm new in programming DSPs, and I tried CSL demos code to learn more about that.

But I did'nt find anywhere how to generate and get signal from line in and line out (this is the beginning, and my first step in my training ^^ )

So, where can I find code examples with the AIC3204 ?

If you are looking for some test code for the C5535ezdsp to test the audio, take a look at the Test Code at support.spectrumdigital.com/.../

Please note that these examples are not CSL based.
The CSL iteself has audio examples at C:\ti\c55_lp\c55_csl_3.07\ccs_v6.x_examples\i2s which would help you build a project, but ensure you have the correct macro defined in csl_general.h. I'm not sure which of the I2S examples are supported on the C5535ezdsp, but you may want to take a closer look.

Thank you for your reply!

I downloaded, then compiled some demos projects on support.spectrumdigital.com.

The following projects work very well: led, uart, and sd :)

But I had problems with others:
- The "switches" demo project: I had that message in the console: "
Testing Switches ...
Press SW1 or SW2 to toggle LEDs.
Press both to toggle LEDs DS3 & DS4 and end test. "

I pressed SW1 and SW2, but nothing happen on the ezdsp board ...

- With the "AIC3204" demo project, I started the debugguer, then I had an empty console, and nothing happen on the ezdsp board.

In the compiler, I had no error. I dont understand: o

Could you help me please?

Please see section 2.3.2 in support.spectrumdigital.com/.../ezdsp5535_TechRef_RevC.pdf there are some DIP switch settings that would be needed to ensure the AIC3204 is muxed correctly.

Hi,

I made sure that DIP switch SW3 in position 3 was configurated as "OFF", to enable AIC3204 interface.

But nothing has changed.

Wistaro,

Not sure what might be going on with you board. Are you sure you have a good board that is functioning properly? The diagnostics from Spectrum's site should work on the board.
