TMS320C5545: Running PocketSphinx on C5545

Hi,

For my application I need to run pocketsphinx on the C5545 DSP. PocketSphinx is a open source lightweight speech recognition engine. I was wondering if it is even possible to run such engines on the C5545 DSP, if so what are some steps that can be taken to run it. PocketSphinx is a binary, how can I link it to the C5545 for speech recognition and view the output? Any help on this matter would be great.

I'm not familiar with PocketSphinx, but as we have been discussing in your other thread e2e.ti.com/.../630578 speech recognition engines such as TIesr can certainly run on the C5545. We also work with a third party called Sensory that has an engine for the C55x DSPs.

Hi Lali,

I am just wondering how Tlesr works for speech recognition, essentially what I want to do is I want to be able to detect stuttering words. I was wondering does Tlesr have a dictionary where the engine looks to match the words said to the dictionary? If so how big can the dictionary be for it to be very accurate. Stuttering is very complex as there are so many ways stuttering can occur and the sounds that can be produced are different. So the dictionary I have for stuttering is very long so I am wondering if this is something Tlesr can do?

Unfortunately, we don't support TIesr to the extent of customization you are looking for. The demo we provide is just a way to evaluate the speech recognition capability on the C55x device. We do work with a thirds party called Sensory that can provide a more custom speech recognition engine for the C55x.
