Part Number: TMS320C5545

Looking for similar DSP to TMS320C5545 but with higher # of I/Os  around 140,and around 150MhZ

Do we have such device/solution?

    Yes,I checked and didn't find such device,therefore before I will inform this to my customer, I would like to recheck with TI expert

    Hi Eli
    So have you taken 5505 and 5517 in consideration.
    Both offer 150 MHz (C5517 goes up to 200 MHz) and are bigger package and IO count than 5545.
    The number of IOs available to you will depend on what other peripherals you are using in your application.

    For current products they are using the old  C5504,and for the new project looking for newer device and lowe cost solution.

    C5505/5517 are old devices like the C5504.

    C5545 is new and lower cost device.

    Baed on your feedback these are our only solutions. correct?

    Yes , in c55x space those are the choices.
    If c5517 performance, integration and IO does not meet the requirement than the next choice up in our portfolio would be to look at AM335x or C674x family, but that is obviously a significant code migration effort.

    I should add the 5517 is relatively new. We introduced 5545 later in the market , but from design standpoint they are pretty close to each other. They are equally well supported with the software (CSL) and both have recent TI Designs around it.
    They are both being used by customers in recent and upcoming designs.

    5545 obviously is lower cost and most uniquely the only 7x7 mm DSP package , so it has pretty unique, where small space is a requirement.
