CCS/TMS320VC5410: C5400 Development on Windows 10

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi, all.

We must use a PC with Windows 10 in our company.

On Windows 10, we can use CCS v6.2 and later.

However CCS v6 not supports TMS320C54xx.

Please teach me how to develop C54 software on Windows 10 PC.

    Hi,

    Despite officially not supported, I was able to install CCSv5.5 on my Windows 10 Pro/64 build 1709 and did not notice any issues - although I did not test it extensively.

    That said, there are no guarantees this will work in the long run, as Windows 10 has been under continuous updates and there is always a chance that something may break in the future. 

    Therefore, if you can have a Windows 7 install on an older host or a Virtual Machine, that would be the most guaranteed way to maintain a stable development environment. 

    Since CCSv5.x releases are not supported anymore, there are no plans to perform a complete validation on the Windows 10 OS. Sorry.
