CCS/TMS320C5505: DSP Shutdown when no input signal

Part Number: TMS320C5505

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi all,

I am using Texas Instruments TMS320c5505 EVM.

I want to write a software such that DSP output becomes zero when no input signal is detected (or when input is below certain threshold) for more than 3 seconds or so. In ther words, DSP goes to SHUTDOWN mode when no input is detected for more than 3 seconds or so.

Can I do it using registers on codec aic3204. if not, any other alternatives.

Please suggest.
