Hi
Is there a listing of what can cause the "Port unrecoverable error": bit 2 in SPn_ERR_STAT?

Eddie,
This happens when the ackIDs get out of alignment and 4 link requests either timeout or come back with non-outstanding ackIDs. Requires software to step in and get out of any input/output errored state and recover the ackIDs.

Travis
If the link partners go out of sync, there will definitely be port_ok issues temporarily at least. I would expect if that recovers, then you will have input/output errored states and depending on where packet traffic was during the event, you would see many LSU error CC and logical/transport and port errors.

Travis
Hi Travis,
Sorry for interrupting you.
I want to check whether SPn_ERR_STAT.PORT_ERR bit
get set by providing the abnomal condition of SRIO intentionally.
Is there any method to do the following which you answered in this post:
ackIDs get out of alignment and 4 link requests either timeout or come back with non-outstanding ackIDs
best regards,
g.f.
