RESETSTAT Timing in warm Reset

Hi,

I'm using C6486, and I was looking the timing behavior of RESETSTAT pin during warm Reset.

I found that there's actually no reference to the time it takes RESETSTAT to assert after RESET had been asserted.

The attached PDF is a snapshot of the timing diagram from datasheet. I marked with a "?" the missing info,

Can you please assist?

Hi Avi,

Are you sure you've given the correct part number? I'm not finding any information on a C6486, what is the exact part number you're asking about.

Hi Avi,

As stated, we don't support the TCI parts on the forum. I did check number of other data sheets for other parts and I've found that we don't provide the timing number that you requested on those parts either. RESETSTAT is guaranteed to go low while the reset is active, assuming the reset pulse is of the necessary length, but we don't specify how long after the reset pulse is present to the point when RESETSTAT goes low.

Thanks for the effort Bill.

So, I can't really rely on RESETSTAT to enable GPIO's output for Device configuration, since I can't really know if setup time for the GPIOs is actually met, right?

Hi Avi,

We use the reset signal itself for that purpose. The RESETSTAT signal was included to help determine when the device exits from reset rather then when it is in reset.
