    Hi all,

I'm currently working with TMS320C6670. And I want to boot from EEPROM by I2C. But I don't quite know how to boot the device. Could you give some advice?

What's more, by looking at the BootLoader User's Guide, I konw that boot parameter table should be configured. But how can I access the table? Could you give me

some examples which I can refer to?

And what's the relationship of Boot Parameter Table, Boot table and the boot config table. If I wanna boot the device, do I have to configure all these tables?

    Thanks

    Best regards

    Nick

You'll probably want to read the boot section of the Data Manual to understand this a bit better, but the Boot Configuration is latched by the boot mode pins.  This at a minimum will have default settings for relevant IO and can be used.  If you do not want to use the default Boot values for the IO you want to boot with, then you'd need to use an intermediate boot loader (IBL) which can configure the boot parameter tables or Boot Config values for the IO you want to boot from before jumping to the boot mode of the IO you want to use.

      Hi Chad,

Thank you for your quick answer. I wonder if you could give me some more specific advice on how to boot the device. Cause I didn't get much from the Data Manual. Until now, I still

don't  konw how to get started.

      Thanks

      Best regards,

      Nick

      Nick,

I'll ask one of the boot experts to provide some more details on booting from I2C.

      Best Regards,
      Chad
