Hi All,
Can someone point me to any literature\process\methodology for recovering a crashed core by other healthy cores.
1. Say in c6670 [4 cores -> CORE0,CORE1,CORE2,CORE3], CORE2 crashed and how the other cores CORE0,CORE1,CORE3 can possibly recover the CORE2 [is there anyway?],
or
2. Is there a way that CORE2 itself can recover from crash [recovery here i meant, all the Stack Pointers and ProgramCounters and all other things have to initalize and program has to start again from main()]
Thanks
RC Reddy
Hi RC Reddy,
there's the so called local reset:
The local reset can be used to reset a particular CorePac without resetting any other device components.Local reset can be initiated initiated by the following:• LRESET pin (e.g. for use from an external host)• Watchdog timer (e.g. for the case of self recovery)• LPSC MMRs (memory-mapped registers so other cores can initiate a reset on the stuck core)
Kind regards,
