Hello,
I'm in touch with an optical research laboratory that's involved in 10GbE and 100GbE development. I'd like to know if OFDM or ePDM-QPSK modulations can be performed by c66x at high rates. I noticed that these devices could deliver up to 10GHz of performance but I'm not sure about the implementation. Could anyone help me with this?
I also guess that a FPGA or PLD should be placed between ADC/DAC and c66x in order to get/put the data without bottlenecks. Am I right? In this case which C66x interfaces should be used? How? I'm sorry, lot of questions today.
Thanks in advance,gaston
Gaston,
For ethernet, we have 1G SGMII interface support.
Our highest C66x bandwidth interfaces are SRIO (4 lanes each running at 5GBaud) and a proprietary link called Hyperlink (4 lanes at 12.5 GBaud). As of today, we typically we see an FPGA for protocol conversion between DSP and ADC/DAC.
Regards,
Travis
