What is the purpose of 7.5 KHz Frequency Shift in FFT for LTE

It has been seen that FFTc in 66x supports 7.5 KHz frequency for LTE. Could anybody tell what is the purpose of this in LTE.

Hi Faraday,

You should refer to 3GPP spec 36.211 version 8 section 5.6. Please refer to the equation

exp(j*2*pi*(k + ½)*deltaf*(t – NCP,i*Ts)

it is the factor “1/2” that is the 7.5 kHz shift.
