    Hi,

DSP6678, Marvell PHY got boundary scan using JTAG to check shorts and opens in BGA pins.

XDS560 emulator supports boundary scan checking.I need software to test shorts and opens(Boundary scan testing using XDS560)1 in my PCB?.

    Regards,

    SrinivasaPrasad

      SrinivasaPrasad,

If you click on the active-link XDS560 and search that page for "boundary" (no quotes), you will find the comments on software/tools support. If you are using a different brand of 560-class emulator, you will want to contact that emulator manufacturer to find out what they offer in terms of software/tools support for boundary scan.

The BSDL model file is available from TI on the TMS320C6678 Product Folder (click the active-link).

      Regards,
      RandyP

In general - the XDS560 emulator is designed to support boundary scan - however the software tools provided by TI and 3rd parties do not support this functionality. There are many other third party tools varying in performance and cost that are available.
