Initializing DSP through ARM linux

What would be the correct method to load an executable binary program into the DSP core system from userspace on the ARM cores? I am using the Keystone II TCI6638K2K with SMP linux running on the ARM and would like it to load a program onto the DSP. How is this accomplished?

Hi,

Please use the Multiple Processor Manager (MPM) module to load and run the DSP images from ARM.

I have been trying this but I keep getting "load failed (error: -104)". When I run

$mpmcl load dsp0 DSP_test.out

I have also added tried to wake up the DSP at uboot : $setenv debug_options 1

Which works (when I run $mpmcl status dsp0) I get that it is idle

BUT

When I try to load my program through CCS I also get a Load program Error.

What is the MCSDK version you are using?

I am using SDK version 3.00.03.15 and the Kernel Image that is running right now is the one from the SDK (uImage-keystone-evm.bin). The rootfs is also one from the SDK.

TCI6638K2K devices are supported directly through Local Field Applications Engineers (FAEs.) These devices are not supported on the E2E forum. Please contact your local FAE for support of these devices. If you are not sure who your local FAE is, then please contact your local technical sales representative and they will be able to put you in contact with your local FAE.
